8 Ways to Get rid of Black Knees/Elbow

Knees and Elbows become dark because of dead skin cells. To get rid of these dead skin cells, you need ingredients that exfoliate and/or bleach dark skin Naturally.
After trying out these recipes, It is very important to MOISTURIZE. Any moisturizer will work but I recommend cocoa butter or rub some olive oil on knees/elbows for better results. If you don't moisturize them then they will become darker.

1) You Need:
Baking Soda
Milk

Directions:
Mix enough milk to make baking soda a little damp. Apply the paste on knees or elbows and scrub it in circular motions. Repeat this until you notice, your knees have became lighter and when you are happy with it. I used to skip a day before doing it again.

2) You Need:
1 tsp Turmeric
1 tsp Sugar
1 tsp Olive Oil

If you don't have turmeric, you may use baking soda. Mix them well together and Apply + Rub in Circular motions.

3) You Need:
Lemon
Gram Flour

Add enough lemon juice to make gram flour damp. Lemon is a Natural bleach and will reduce the darkness. Apply + Rub in Circular motions.

4) You Need: (I tried this one and it worked for me pretty well)
Olive Oil

Just rub the olive oil on knees. This oil has natural bleaching properties and will also make your skin glow. It is the cheapest way.

5) You Need:
Anything that exfoliates your body (loofah, exfoliating brush etc...)

Scrub your knees with loofah or whatever you have, when you are having a shower and scrub with them in circular motions.

6) You Need:
Really amazing moisturize or cocoa butter or Shea butter

Dark knees/elbows are also caused by dry skin, so you need A LOT of moisturizers if you notice your knees/elbows are flaky.  {P.S Shea butter is the BEST moisturizer I have ever tried.}

7) You Need:
Sunscreen Lotion

Knees/elbows are most exposed in sun during summer. No doubt they will become dark if exposed without sunscreen lotion applied. You can use sunscreen lotion as a moisturizer and to lighten dark knees/elbows after shower.

8) You Need:
Aloe Vera Gel

Aloe Vera gel reduces dark scars/sun damage caused by over-exposure of knees/elbows. You can buy pure aloe Vera gel from any drug stores/pharmacies/health stores.

One of the tricks I used:
Take two strips of cloth that are wide enough to cover your knees/elbows and some olive oil. Apply olive oil on knees/elbows and massage it for 2 mins. Tie 2 strips of cloths around knees to keep the moisture in and leave them over night. In the morning, scrub your knees/elbows with loofah and wash off the oil in the shower. Moisturize your knees/elbows after shower and Repeat until you see results.

Hope it works for you  Take Care.

The Dangers of Chewing Gum

MUST SHARE

Originally, chewing gum was made from tree sap but today's commercial brands are loaded with harmful ingredients and chemicals.

The modern day chewing gums are made of four major ingredients including synthetic rubber, plastic, sugar, and coloring (dye). Modern day gums are produced from synthetic polymers such as styrene-butadiene rubbers and polyvinyl acetate. The final product is composed of 60% sugar, 20% corn syrup, and only 20% actual gum material.

If you're chewing gum you are chewing rubber and plastic. Chewing gum is known as a harmless cultural tradition but it contains many properties that may be hazardous to our health.

Today's chewing gums and bubble gums are predominantly sugar by volume. Seventy to eighty percent of most gums on the market today are sheer vehicles for sugar, the number one drug on the planet. Just as cigarettes are a conveyor for the addictive drug "nicotine", so is gum for sugar.

5 Foods that help you lose weight

Foods with high fiber
The great thing about fiber is that it helps to stabilize your blood sugar level, which in turn controls your cravings. Lucky for you, there are a lot of foods with fiber, like: whole grain bread, wheat bran, blueberries, oatmeal, chickpeas, and beans.

Dark Chocolate
Guess what? Dark chocolate is good for you. It’s a potent antioxidant that protects the body from aging and helps to relax your blood pressure. So now you can actually indulge in chocolate (every once in awhile) without feeling guilty about it.

Fruits and veggies with high water content
The higher the water content, the more it fills you up. This means that you’ll eat less during the day. Interested? Then try grapefruit, watermelon, lettuce, tomatoes, celery, and bean sprouts.

Lean protein
Lean protein prevents spikes in your blood sugar, which helps to keep your food cravings down. You can find a lot of tasty lean protein out there like: eggs, chicken breasts, canned light tuna, and whitefish.

Foods you have to work for (shells and peels)
The more slowly you eat, the easier it is for your body to realize it’s full. So what’s the best way to slow you down? If you have to work for your food. Eat foods you have to peel like oranges or grapefruit. Or buy some shelled nuts to slow you down like peanuts, pistachios, and walnuts.

HOW TO GET MORE SLEEP & GO TO BED EARLY NATURALLY

Most adults need seven to eight hours of sleep for optimum mental and physical health, according to the National Institute for Neurological Disorders and Stroke. But many people have trouble going to sleep and staying asleep, resulting in sleep deprivation. Sleep medications aren't intended for long-term use. They have side effects and can cause rebound insomnia, making your sleep problems worse than they were before, says Naresh Dewan, M.D., a board-certified sleep specialist at Creighton University Sleep Disorders Center in Omaha, Nebraska. Lifestyle changes are a natural way to get more sleep and go to bed early without pharmaceutical help.

Step 1
Exercise early in the day. A moderately intense workout four to eight hours before bedtime can help many people with sleep problems go to sleep faster, wake up less often and increase total sleep time, according to the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM). Schedule your workout in the morning or early afternoon. Exercising too close to bedtime can stimulate the body and contribute to insomnia, says the AASM

Step 2
Set a consistent time to go to bed. Decide on a time that you can stick with everyday, even on weekends. Get up at the same time everyday, too. You may have to set your alarm on weekends to avoid the temptation to sleep in on your days off. This will set your body clock and help your body get into a sleep-wake rhythm, says Dewan.

Step 3
Establish a relaxing before-bed ritual. The AASM recommends including calming activities such as taking a warm bath, doing some light reading, and having a sleep-promoting snack. Preparing your clothes and everything you'll need for the next day can help relieve anxiety-related insomnia. A consistent, relaxing routine will send a signal to your brain that it's time to wind down for the day and prepare for sleep.

Step 4
Adjust the temperature and ventilation in your bedroom. The AASM states that it's best if your sleeping environment is a little bit cool. Try to keep the thermostat at 70 degrees F or lower, recommends Dewan. Make sure there are no drafts from windows and doors. A room that is too hot or too cold can cause you to wake in the middle of the night.

Step 5
Darken and quiet your bedroom. Light--even a dim lamp or flickering television--can disrupt your body clock. Use heavy shades on windows or an eye mask to block out light. Turn off the television and close windows to block out sleep-interrupting sounds. If noise can't be blocked, try masking it with a white noise machine or a fan.

Step 6
Calm your mind and body with relaxation techniques. To bring on the zzz's after your head hits the pillow, try visualization, deep breathing and progressive muscle relaxation, recommends Dewan. Use relaxation tapes or CDs to help cue your body to drift off to sleep.

Preternatural Tricks to Clean Your Car

Fizz windshields clean with cola
When it rains after a long dry spell, a dirty windshield turns into one big mess. Get rid of streaks and blotches by pouring cola over the glass. (Stretch a towel along the bottom of the windshield to protect hood paint.) The bubbles in the cola will fizz away the grime. Just be sure to wash the sticky cola off thoroughly or your cleaning efforts will end up attracting dust and dirt.

Shine those car lights
Keep your headlights polished (and yourself, safe) by applying window cleaner and rubbing vigorously with an old pair of panty hose.

Hair conditioner for shine
Wash your car with a hair conditioner containing lanolin. You'll become a believer when you see the freshly waxed look, and when you find that the surface will repel rain.

Vodka on the job
When your windshield-washer reservoir needs filling, raid the liquor cabinet to make your own washing fluid. In a screw-top gallon jug, mix 3 cups vodka (the cheapest you can find) with 4 cups water and 2 teaspoons liquid dish-washing detergent. Screw on the cap and shake well, then pour as much fluid as needed into the reservoir.

No windshield washing fluid?
If the reservoir is empty (and doesn't it always seem to be?), use an unlikely substitute to clean your windshield: feminine hygiene maxi-pads, a box of which you could stash in the trunk. Hold a pad on the sticky side and rub the windshield vigorously. The glass will really shine once you've wiped it to the max.

A one-step window cleaner
Clean your windshield and car windows by rubbing them with baby wipes stored in your glove compartment. What could be easier?

No windshield washing fluid?
If the reservoir is empty (and doesn't it always seem to be?), use an unlikely substitute to clean your windshield: feminine hygiene maxi-pads, a box of which you could stash in the trunk. Hold a pad on the sticky side and rub the windshield vigorously. The glass will really shine once you've wiped it to the max.

Clean your blades
If your windshield wiper blades get dirty, they'll streak the glass instead of keeping it clean and clear. Make a solution of 1/4 cup household ammonia to 1 quart cold water. Gently lift the blades, and wipe both sides with a soft cloth or paper towel soaked in the solution. Then wipe the blades with a dry cloth before lowering them into place.

You can see clearly now
Add 1/4 cup household ammonia to 1 quart water, pour it into a plastic bottle with a water-tight cap, and keep it in your car for washing the windshield and windows. As soon as your windshield begins to get dirty, take out the solution and apply it with a sponge; then dry the windshield with a soft cloth or paper towels.

Baking-soda car cleaner
Pour 1/4 cup baking soda into a gallon-sized jug, then add 1/4 cup dishwashing liquid and enough water to fill the jug almost to the top. Screw on the cap, shake well, and store the concentrate for later use. When it comes time to wash the car, shake the jug vigorously and then pour 1 cup of cleaner base into a 2-gallon water pail. Fill the pail with warm water, stir to mix, and your homemade cleaning solution is ready to use.

A surprising no-wax washer
Add 1 cup kerosene to a 3-gallon pail filled with water and then sponge the solution over your car. You won't have to spray the car before washing or rinse or wax it once you're done. And the next time it rains, rainwater will bead up and roll off the car, lessening the likelihood of rusting.

Banish back-road dirt
In many rural areas, so-called oil roads (some unpaved, others semi-paved) are sprayed with oil to control blowing sand and dust. If you find yourself driving along one of these back roads, your windshield may end up coated with oily grime. To cut through the muck, sprinkle cream of tartar over the windshield, and then wipe the glass down with soapy water, rinse well, and dry.

Watch the heat
Washing your car when it's too hot—right after you've been driving it, for example, or when it's been parked in direct sunlight—can result in soapy splotches and deposits, says Consumer Reports.

Avoid air drying
Also according to Consumer Reports, air drying your car—or driving it around while it's wet—after washing can leave unsightly watermarks on its exterior. Use a chamois or a soft terry cloth, plus a squeegee to soak excess water up—just make sure it doesn't pick up dirt that can scratch the vehicle.

Why & When You Should & Shouldn’t Drink Water.

Paralyzed by H2O Uncertainty?

Sometimes the pursuit of hydration can feel like a contrived game of “Red light—green light.”

You’re going along your happily hydrated way when someone tells you that you shouldn’t be drinking cold water. This stops you dead in your tracks. After a little while, you finally acclimate yourself to room temperature beverages and pick up pace again.  Then you hear that you shouldn’t be drinking during meals…

Stop… Reconfigure…

The worst part comes when we’re given contradictory information and find ourself paralyzed, or forced to choose sides. In such cases, it’s probably best to consider what changes we can realistically implement in our own life, and see where that leaves us.

Here are three arguments concerning water consumption that never seem to get resolved.

Argument 1: Cold Water.

Anti-cold water

According to Ayurvedic guidelines especially, cold water is not good for the body. It should be cut out completely, as it shocks the digestive system and quenches the agni (flame) that fuels digestion. Because your body must use energy to warm the liquid back up, energy is taken away from the digestive system. Room temperature or warm water are considered optimal because they do not put as much strain on the body.

When I was experiencing chronic stomach pains a few years ago, I discovered that it was because of my morning smoothies (not water, but it’s the temperature that’s important). The intense cold was too much for my stomach after a night’s rest, and my acupuncturist recommended that I drink a mug of warm water with lemon first to ease my body into a waking state. My stomach pain disappeared in about a week.

Your digestive system doesn’t like being woken up with a splash of cold liquid any more than you do.

Pro-cold water.

A recent episode of Food Detectives explored the calorie-burning powers of cold water. When you drink cold water, your body expends energy to maintain its normal temperature. This process does in fact burn calories. According to their research, if you drink eight glasses of ice-cold water in a day, it amounts to about 70 burned calories. That won’t replace your regular exercise regimen, but it could arguably save you five minutes or so on the treadmill.

Cold water also makes your palate less sensitive, so any innocuous bacteria in the water will not taste as unpleasant if the water is cold. People are more inclined to stay hydrated when they enjoy the taste of their beverage, which gets even more important with age, as your thirst impulse dulls.

A happy medium:

Since your digestive system is something you need to rely on for a long time to come, this consideration comes before a mediocre weight-loss technique. Avoiding cold water is beneficial, but only if you manage to keep your water intake up.

If your water consumption drops to 1/7 of its former total when you swear off cold water, then this change may be hurting you more than it’s helping you. That said, transition takes time, and you may just need to power through the difficult phase while eating lots of hydrating fruits and veggies until you acclimate to room temperature water.

Argument 2: Drinking during meals.

Anti-drinking during meals.

This is a rule that I have come across many times. Drinking water—or any liquid for that matter—dilutes the stomach fluids and washes away saliva. With these essential digestive tools watered down, the body cannot effectively process food.

Furthermore, people tend to wash mouthfuls of food down with water before they have chewed them thoroughly. This leaves more work for the already compromised digestive system. When your digestive system isn’t performing at its best, nutrients are not absorbed effectively and all of that spinach was for nothing.

Pro-drinking during meals.

On the other end of the spectrum, some people encourage drinking during meals because it will fill the stomach up faster and leave less room for food. A belly full of water will cause your brain to think that you’re full before you are, and weight-loss is sure to follow.

Testing phase:

I had always drank lots of water with my food in the past, considering it an opportunity to kill two birds with one stone—get my nutrients and liquids all in one sitting. In an effort to ease the burden on my stomach, I decided to forgo water during lunch one day. I chose a massive burrito because I figured it would go down easily without water, and it would provide me with leftovers for the next day.

One of those assumptions was right.

It wasn’t terribly difficult to eat without a beverage, but my potential leftovers were quickly reduced to nothing. Without water taking up space in my stomach, I mistook that empty space for extra food room and ate way more than I needed. This experience left me quite ready to dismiss the popular rule. After all, there is no reason somebody 5’4″ should be able to eat a burrito the size of a small baby.

The explanation for my excess stomach room was my previous habit of drinking while eating. The stomach stretches when it is pushed to accomodate excess volume, so my stomach had done just that in order to make room for all the liquid I used to drink with my meals. If I were to cut that habit, my stomach would shrink back to its normal size and let me know when it has had the right amount of food for my body.

While I do not recommend overeating, the fact that I didn’t feel like dying after consuming such a large amount of food is a testament to the powers of unencumbered digestive fluids.

Overall, leaving water out of your meals is a good idea. If you happen to enjoy dinners of crackers and sawdust, this will be difficult for you. Since I love spicy food, I might reserve a few sips of water for especially tongue-searing meals. If you can adopt this rule in part or entirely, your body will thank you.

Argument 3: Filthy tap water vs. pristine bottled water.

In truth, there is no conundrum here, just a widespread misconseption. Tap water is not filthy, at least not in the States. It is actually regulated more closely than bottled water is, and the environmental impact of bottle production and disposal leaves no excuse for the product. So you want to live a healthy life. You want good, clean water for yourself and your family. These are simple requests. Common requests. Things we, in America, take for granted. We, as a country, spend billions of dollars on bottled water every year. And for what? For the security of knowing that what we drink is clean and pure. But is it, really? Or should we go back to the tap?

First of all, what’s in bottled water? Don’t scoff, it’s a valid question. Who controls what is in our water? What tests are done to look for purity and cleanliness? What about the packaging? We’ve all heard about the dangers of plastic, does it affect out water or not?

Bottled Water Facts

Some bottled water comes from sparkling springs, glaciers, and other pristine sources. But more than 25 percent of it comes from a municipal water supply.

The EPA regulates tap water, while the FDA oversees bottled. Yet FDA oversight doesn’t apply to water packaged and sold within the same state, leaving some 60 to 70 percent of bottled water free of FDA regulation.
Most bottled water comes in polyethylene terephthalate bottles, indicated by a number 1, PET or PETE on the bottle’s bottom. When stored in hot or warm temperatures, the plastic may leach chemicals into the water.

Bisphenol A (BPA), a chemical found in polycarbonate (used to make water cooler jugs, sport-water bottles and other hard plastics, but not PET), may cause neurological and behavioral problems in fetuses, babies and kids. Adult exposure to BPA affects the brain, the female reproductive system and the immune system.
Secondly, what’s in tap water? Is it dirty? Where does it come from?

Tap Water Facts

Tap water comes from local sources. Depending on where you live that could mean an aquifer, a lake, a river, or wells.

If your water comes from a public source (rather than a well), you should get a water-quality or consumer-confidence report from the water company once a year. It’s also available at any time from the local water utility. Read the report carefully, making sure not only that your water has received a passing grade overall but also that contaminants haven’t exceeded the maximum allowable levels. You may want to look up what good levels should be. If you have well water, get it tested every year.
What about fluoride?

Fluoride Facts

Most bottled water doesn’t contain added fluoride. Kids are drinking more bottled water and less fluoridated tap, and some say that’s behind the recent rise in dental decay.

If your tap water is fortified, and you drink it, you probably don’t need fluoride in bottled water. But if your family has well water without fluoride, drinks only bottled or uses a filter that removes fluoride (many do), ask your dentist about supplements for your child.

So, what should I drink?

Filter your tap water. A simple charcoal water filter can remove contaminants and improve flavor.

Get a canteen. Carry your plain or filtered tap water in a reusable stainless steel or lined drinking container, and clean it between uses.

Shop smart. When you must have bottled, look for brands that have NSF certification or belong to IBWA.

Keep it cool. Don’t drink from a bottle that’s been subjected to high temperatures (sitting in your car, for example), don’t store it anywhere it will be exposed to heat or chemicals (like a garage), and don’t reuse plastic bottles.

Top 10 Tips to Find Your Unclaimed Cash

The 50 states and the District of Columbia are currently holding at least $32 billion in unclaimed funds, just waiting to be reunited with the rightful owners.
"Good Morning America" has helped thousands of people find money held for them by the states.
There are simple searches you can do in ten minutes or less. Plus we've uncovered more unusual sources of unclaimed cash that few people know about.
"GMA" is here to help with the top 10 tips you can use today to find your unclaimed cash!
1. Miscellaneous Money
If you are searching for things such as forgotten apartment security deposits, uncashed overtime checks, lost insurance refunds or abandoned safe deposit boxes, your first stop is the states. The National Association of Unclaimed Property Administrators (NAUPA) has set up a free website at www.unclaimed.org that will link you to the appropriate department in your state that holds the funds. (IMPORTANT: this is a .ORG website, NOT a .com. If you mistakenly type in .com, you will be taken to a pay site. It is never necessary to pay a fee or a finder to help you find unclaimed money.)
2. Missing Money
If you would like to search several states at once, you can do so at another free, though commercially run site called www.missingmoney.com. When you first search, you are prompted to enter your home state. Be sure to search again and this time choose "all states and provinces" on the drop down menu. One last thing: it's not actually ALL states. On the site's home page you can view a map of which states are and are not included. If you have lived in states that do not participate in this site, be sure to go back to Unclaimed.org and search those sites individually.
3. Unclaimed Savings Bonds
It's easy for savings bonds to go unclaimed because they take 30 to 40 years to mature. That's why the Treasury Department has set up a simple search website, available HERE, where you can find forgotten bonds by typing in your social security number. Certain bonds are not listed online and require a hand search. You can read about them at the same Treasury link.
4. Federal Tax Refunds
Everybody looks forward to getting an income tax refund check, but if yours didn't arrive, what do you do? The IRS now provides a "Where's my Refund?" feature on its website. You can look up your missing check by entering the amount you are owed, plus your social security number.
5. Lost Life Insurance Policies
The proceeds of lost life insurance policies may turn up in your state search. If not, and you suspect you are the beneficiary of a loved one's lost life insurance policy, you can hire a company called MIB Solutions to search for you. MIB is a private company that houses life insurance application information for much of the industry. It costs $75 to search. Go to www.policylocator.com for more information.
6. Failed Accounts In a Bank If you didn't collect your money when your bank went under, chances are your account was insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). The good news, in that case, is that the FDIC is holding your money, and you can find it HERE.
7. Failed Accounts In a Credit Union
If your money was in a credit union as it failed, visit the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) HERE to track down your money.
8. Misplaced Pensions
If your company still exists, or has been bought out, you need to approach the company directly. If you are owed a pension from a company that went under, there is a federal agency, the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC), that safeguards private pensions. You can track down your pension HERE on the PBGC website.
9. Retirement Money
The Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA), is the federal agency charged with making sure retirement money is reunited with its rightful owners. The EBSA sometimes even sues to seize retirement money. You can utilize the agency's services by clicking HERE.
10. Lost 401(k)s
Sometimes when people leave a job, they leave behind a 401(k) as well. If the company goes out of business, that only compounds the confusion. Fortunately, companies that administer 401(k) plans have teamed up to create a search engine you can use to track down your 401(k).

Boy Who Attempted Christmas Card Record Dies

Dalton Dingus, a little boy from rural Kentucky whose dying wish to set a record for receiving the most Christmas cards earned him support from around the world, has died. He was nine.
Dalton, who succumbed to a lifelong battle with cystic fibrosis on Saturday, received more than 500,000 cards from all over the world, his family said.
At a funeral service on Wednesday, many of those cards decorated the Bethlehem to Cavalry Apostolic Church in Salyersvile, Ky., Kathy Smithers, a resident who attended the ceremony, told ABCNews.com.
"There were lots and lots of people there," said Smithers. "Members of the police department, and the fire department, and the sheriff. It felt like the whole town was here."
Dalton's illness, his positive attitude and his goal to set a Guinness World Record first inspired his neighbors in Salyersvile and then the world. A Facebook post asking friends to send cards to Dalton went viral, picked up by a local newspaper and then media from as far away as Israel and Ireland, South Dakota and South Korea.
In the days before Christmas, there were so many letters pouring in that a local television reporter with his own truck delivered the cards that could not fit in the mail carrier's van. Dalton's house became so filled with letters that at first neighbors and then his family's church would accept the mail and sort it.
The letters came from children sometimes younger than him in languages he did not speak and from places he never heard of.
The cards filled Dalton's home, spread out on the floor where he played with Lego blocks and painted pictures.
Miss Kentucky visited, bringing along some cards. So did a unit of Kentucky State Troopers and the star of Animal Planet's "Call of the Wildman."
The town rallied around Dalton, with volunteers working round the clock to sort and count the cards.
"The cards give him something to look forward to. Something to get excited about," Dalton's mother Jessica Dingus told ABCNews.com before his death.
Guinness was in touch the Dingus family before Dalton died to discuss applying for recognition.
As of Wednesday, the family had not made a formal application, according to Guinness.
"At this time, there has been no formal record application made with Guinness World Records for this particular attempt, so we are unable to speculate on whether or not it would constitute a new record," Guinness spokeswoman Jamie Panas told ABCNews.com
"If and when an application is made on his behalf, our records management team could then explore the topic of re-opening a designation for his feat," she said.
Guinness does not currently monitor attempts for receiving Christmas cards. However, its does have an old record on the books. As of 1992, the last official time Guinness allowed for a Christmas card category, Canadian Jarrod Booth had collected 205,120 cards.

14 Foods that Fight Inflammation and Pain

Some of the best healing remedies to overcome inflammation also taste fabulous (I can’t say that about any prescription medications). Plus, foods won’t cause the nasty side effects common to most pain medications.

1. Blueberries: Blueberries are also excellent anti-inflammatory foods. They increase the amounts of compounds called heat-shock proteins that decrease as people age.  When heat-shock proteins are in short supply inflammation, pain and tissue damage is the result.

2. Cayenne Pepper: Ironically, cayenne pepper turns DOWN the heat on inflammation due to its powerful anti-inflammatory compound capsaicin.

3. Celery and 4. Celery Seeds: James Duke, Ph.D., author of The Green Pharmacy, found more than 20 anti-inflammatory compounds in celery and celery seeds in his research, including a substance called apigenin, which is powerful in its anti-inflammatory action.  Add celery seeds to soups, stews or as a salt substitute in many recipes.

5. Cherries: While many people opt for aspirin as their first course of action when they feel pain, Muraleedharan Nair, PhD, professor of natural products and chemistry at Michigan State University, found that tart cherry extract is ten times more effective than aspirin at relieving inflammation.

6. Dark Green Veggies: Veggies like kale and spinach contain high amounts of alkaline minerals like calcium and magnesium.  Both minerals help balance body chemistry to alleviate inflammation.

7. Fish: According to Dr. Alfred D. Steinberg, an arthritis expert at the National Institute of Health, fish oil acts directly on the immune system by suppressing 40 to 55 percent of the release of cytokines – compounds known to destroy joints and cause inflammation.

8. Flax seeds and Flax Oil: Flax seeds are high in natural oils that convert into hormone-like substances in the body to reduce inflammatory substances. Add ground flax seeds to smoothies, atop pancakes or French toast, and many other foods.  Do not heat.

9. Ginger: Dr. Krishna C. Srivastava at Odense University in Denmark found that ginger was superior to non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) like Tylenol or Advil at alleviating inflammation.

10. Raspberries, 11. Blackberries, and 12. Strawberries: In Dr. Muraleedharan Nair’s later research she discovered that these berries have similar anti-inflammatory effects as cherries.

13. Turmeric: Research shows that the Indian spice frequently used in curries suppresses pain and inflammation through a similar mechanism as drugs like COX-1 and COX-2 inhibitors (without the harmful side effects).

14. Walnuts: Like flax seeds, raw, unsalted walnuts contain plentiful amounts of Omega 3 fatty acids that decrease pain and inflammation.

NATURAL REMEDIES FOR ACID REFLUX

Acid reflux, also called heartburn or gastrointestinal reflux disease (GERD), happens when stomach acid rises into the esophagus due to a weakened esophageal sphincter, according to doctors at the Jackson Siegelbaum Gastroenterology clinic. Chest discomfort, a burning sensation in your upper stomach or lower throat and occasionally a bad taste in your mouth characterize the disease. If you're tired of buying a new pack of antacids every day, perhaps a diet change can do the trick.

Complex Carbs
Eat breads and grains that are low in fat and high in complex carbohydrates, recommends Jackson Siegelbaum Gastroenterology. Try to avoid heavily processed breads that are high in fat and low in nutrition. Writers at Health Castle recommend eating multiple small meals every day instead of large meals since a large meal on your stomach requires additional stomach acids. Make sure you eat plenty of rice, pasta and breads. These help ensure that the acids in your stomach have complex foods to break down.

Vegetables/Fruits
Avoid processed fruits and vegetables or foods that have a high citric acid content, according to Jackson Siegelbaum Gastroenterology. Its doctors recommend eating apples, bananas and other fresh fruit. Apples are high in complex carbohydrates, and researchers at HealthCave.com say that they contain chemicals that help strengthen the sphincter muscle that causes acid reflux. Bananas are natural antacids, according to the website. Another helpful tip is to take 2 tsp. apple cider vinegar with lukewarm water daily. Researchers at HealthCave.com say the solution helps prevent acid buildup.

Dairy Products
Milk, cheese and other dairy products are naturally high in calcium, a natural inhibitor of stomach acid, according to HealthCave.com. Jackson Siegelbaum Gastroenterology notes that you should choose skim or other low-fat dairy products because foods that contain high fat content will remain in your stomach for a longer period than low-fat foods. You should also avoid eating at fast food chains, since many of the products found in fast food restaurants are high in fat content.

Health risk of working long hours at the computer

Computers are ubiquitous. Nowadays computers are in every house and people are perpetually on it. Many children also find that using computers gives them a sense of power and accomplishment. Adding to that, the Internet has become an indispensable element of life for most people in the contemporary world.

The increased use of computers in the workplace has brought about the development of a number of health concerns. Many people are unaware of the side effects of their techy lifestyle on themselves, their friends, and their family until it's too late. If working with computers is a major task for you daily, you need to consider these associated potential health risks as well:

Eye strain: Eye strain is a common health hazard associated with prolonged exposure to computer screens. Constantly staring at the computer screen can cause dry or watery eyes because of your tendency to blink less. Excessive strain on eyes - Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS) - can lead to itchy or burning eyes, blurred or double vision and headaches.

Neck and shoulder pain: One of the main causes of neck pain in middle-aged people today is from straining their neck to see and work on a computer screen. Excessive computer usage also leads to stiff shoulders. All this results from poor seating posture and poor organization of work equipments on the desk.

Carpal tunnel syndrome: Typing at the keyboard or using the mouse for hours and hours is horrible for your joints. This can lead to Carpal tunnel syndrome which causes pain, numbness and tingling sensation in the arm (mostly in the thumb and index fingers). Carpal tunnel is a narrow passageway on the palm side of your wrist that protects a main nerve to your hand and nine tendons that bend your fingers. The compression of the median nerve in this tunnel causes the signs and symptoms associated with carpal tunnel syndrome.

Social Disconnect: The Internet has provided us a platform where we can say whatever we want and be whoever we want. This can have a negative effect since people act in certain ways and say certain things that they otherwise wouldn't do in real life. Many people believe that the Internet experience is the same as real life experience, but it's not.

You can use the following tips to avoid some of these complications:

Occasionally close your eyes for a few minutes and every 20 to 30 minutes or so look away from the computer to stare at an object in the distance. You can also sit back and just close your eyes for a few minutes.
To prevent dryness and irritation in your eyes, blink more often. Every 20 minutes, blink 10 times by closing your eyes very slowly.
Spread fingers apart for several seconds while keeping wrists straight.
For the back pain and other muscular related problems, it is suggested that you get up every hour, stretch and move around for about five minutes.
Sit straight while you are working on the computer. Avoid slouching.
Use a desk lamp, if possible, instead of an overhead light to reduce computer eye strain.
Make sure to keep the computer screen placed at least 18 inches away from direct view and top of the screen is at the eye level.
Using an ergonomically correct workstation can improve painful situations quickly.
Along with these tips you should also disconnect from time to time. You can do so by:

Always use a computer for a specified amount of time. Health experts say screen time at home should be limited to two hours or less a day. Only in that time you should check your email and do all the necessary stuff.
Try to keep your laptop away from you as mush as possible. Try keeping it out of your sight so that you don't get tempted to use it.
Go out for a walk or a bike ride with your friends and socialize.
These are just some techniques to avoid injuries and disorders from computer usage.

Coffee doesn't help after alcohol

Drinking coffee after drinking alcohol will not help you in waking up. Certainly, coffee will only blur your perception of how much you are actually under the influence of consumed alcohol.

Drinking a cup of coffee is perhaps the worst thing you can do if you want to get sober after drinking alcohol, and to this conclusion came some scientists through the laboratory research.

Lead researcher Dr. Thomas Gold says that it's important to know that the is mistake to belief that coffee speeds sober, because it can lead to making wrong decisions of catastrophic consequences.

Caffeine does not affect the level of alcohol in the blood, it reduces the sedative effect of ethanol and makes us more alert, but does not repair the influence of alcohol on the reasoning, perception and overall assessment of what we are capable of.

In reality, drunk people who drink coffee will conclude that they are not drunk and they will do some things that cold be risky to themselves or the others.

This is very important not to combine alcohol with energy drinks and other drinks that contain caffeine.

The art of convincing the other: 8 golden rules

1. Convince yourself first before you: you will not convince anyone or anything without first you truly believe what you want. To convince someone you have to convey your reasons, which must be very clear before. Remember that not only transmits a message with the words, your voice, your look and your whole body language spoke quietly and send messages to the other. If you have doubts or fear, or fear you feel less or lose, these messages get your partner, and will be a quiet dressing that makes you hesitate or feel slightly comfortable with your proposal.

2. Be realistic: Before you propose something, it analyzes the context and see if your proposal is not far out of reality. For example, if you ask for salary increase, as discussed before work and if you're giving enough to the company, or evaluates the quality of your work so you can speak with certainty about this. You can suggest many things provided you have very clear what you give and what you ask. This rule must be mindful of parents and teachers. Often one does not notice that you are asking or requiring more than a child or youth, or trying to behave in ways the perfect or ideal, which eclipses the opportunity to meet young deeper ways. In this case, it is better to propose to children and youth in a friendly manner and taking into account the feelings and values the same, avoid direct or raise him as if an object or a programmable machine.

3. Do not be afraid to lose: one of the biggest problems is convincing someone that often mixes the fear of losing either a permit, a job, good pay, opportunity, and so on. For this, you must accept the risks involved to propose something, and value and accept the possible endings before you start the proposal. If you have not assessed the possible endings, so when you intend to be fear that the proposal resulting in a refusal have not valued or accepted in advance, and you're tense and hesitant at the time proposed.

4. All you can lose is the doubt: this is a phrase that can serve so you can take risks more on your reasons and motives. Before suggesting what you want, values the worst that could happen, and find a possible solution in case this happens. For example, if you convince a girl to go with you, appreciates the fact of the refusal, and how they would respond if she refuses. Keep in mind that it is better to risk spending quiet time what you want to propose. It is always better to shut up a negative that you want to talk, because even a negative value that could make new directions. So all you can lose is doubt.

5. Develops strategic and sincere language: it is very important to consider a language spoken both in body and in proposing something. If you want to convince someone needs to propose several ways to analyze valuing the person to whom you go and context. For example, if you ask a girl out difficult, perhaps be better to say "I really love to hear more" than "Would you like to go out with me?" To find a convincing proof of appropriate language and are several ways to say something, use a mirror can be helpful if the proposal is face to face. Watch the language where you feel comfortable and honest. The rule for verbal language is not convincingly fake sincerity and integrity and feel your word. Do not try to copy shapes to be or talk to anyone, it is always best to be straightforward and honest. For example, if you just want to date a girl for a while but do not want to know more, then maybe you should better get to the point and say "I like to leave you" I love to hear more. So put clear but what I really intend to someone. Also this is very useful to parents: it is not telling a child or young "I'll punish" to reconcile agreements and say "If you do not arrive at such a time then you decide not to go out next time." Avoid authoritarian language, and managing reconciliations and treatment that make them more responsible.

6. Learn to listen to reasons other: once you animate the proposal, then take into account and give true importance to the reasons for your partner. Do not focus only on what you think or want, because you can get very good deals if you try to listen and accommodate. Learn to give a little, and calmly explain what you want and friendly, especially in work environments. If you feel hopeless when you're proposing something, you'd better tell the other person who may have to ponder over things and try to calm down before you keep trying to convince. Avoid propose when you are angry or desperate. The best thing is that others feel very focused and sure to value your word.

7. Be courteous and Be detached from the result: do not forget to be polite and not monopolize the word, to convince, it seems to work well to listen more than talk and learn to detach from the outcome but with this in mind, that is, you know what you want but not depend on a person just to make this happen.

8. Learn to flow: be very clear about what you want in life: wealth, love, recognition, pay rise, and so on. If you do not find a place or person you do not cling, then perhaps you are not seeing some things you need to do to make this happen. In the case of relationships, be clear if you want the person or find love, then maybe you're holding on, for example, a person or business that can not give you what you want. If you feel you can not find what you want elsewhere, then you infatuated in one place or one person, which will keep you very exhausting and stressful situations. A refusal can be a boost to maybe put your sights on something grander and really find what you want. It's all about you learn to flow and you're quite convinced of what you find in life

Ways to Relieve Anxiety

  1. Breathing Exercises:
Take a moment to close your eyes and focus only on your breathing. Inhale slowly through your nose. Feel your diaphragm move up into your ribcage and extend your belly outward as you inhale.Slowly push out your breathe as you exhale through your mouth. Feel the stress being breathed out of your body. It is no longer a part of you. Each breath should take 6 seconds to complete. Spend 3 seconds slowly inhaling through your nose and the other 3 seconds slowly exhaling through your mouth. Take 5-10 breaths like this and you’ll instantly feel more relaxed.
  2.   Drink Green Tea:
L-Athenian is an amino acid found in tea plants. It also promotes relaxation and modifies the stimulating effects of the caffeine present in green tea. What does that mean exactly? Well L-theanine is a caffeine antagonist, meaning that it offsets the “hyper” effect of caffeine. That is why many people will have a “soothing” cup of tea and not a soothing cup of coffee. Green tea contains more theanine than the other teas. Try drinking Green Tea in the morning for a more gradual and calming wake-up boost.
  3.  Listen to Music:
Sit back and relax to your favorite tunes. I love listening to classic rock. If you’re feeling nostalgic, put on something that will transport you to another place in time.Escape and think of nothing but the music. Try to play songs with a positive or uplifting message. Really it’s up to you. Just enjoy and have fun.
  4. Take a Foot Bath:
Even if you don’t actually own a foot bath, you can fill up a large bowl with warm water and have a nice long soak.Put in some bath salts to give your feet a soft smooth feel. Add some flowers and lavender if you like to really add to the pampering quality of this experience. Put on some relaxing music and sit in a comfy chair while your soothe your cares with this moment of Zen.
  5.  Meditate on Gratitude:
Take a few minutes to think about all the things you are grateful for. It could be as simple as feeling grateful for the food in your fridge or the way your puppy dog loves you. Take the time to appreciate all the gifts you have in life and how lucky you are to have them. When you show thanks for the good in your life, more good will attract itself to you.I spend 5 minutes every morning meditating on gratitude while I take a shower. It’s amazing how it always starts me off in such a great mood for the day.
  6. Exercise:
Although Cardiac Exercise like running or bike riding is more effective for relieving anxiety, weight lifting works well too. Really, just getting to the gym in general and burning off some steam is a wonderful way to feel better. Exercise doesn’t just provide a physical release. You’re also providing a mental release as well.By exercising, you counterbalance your negative thoughts with a positive feeling that you are taking steps towards improving your health. In effect, you cast aside worry and calm your mind with the natural high of working out.
  7. Get Rid of the Clutter:
Feng Shui is the art of creating a serene and relaxing home. Part of this study involves clearing the clutter from your environment. Clutter creates a sense of confusion and chaos. By cleaning up your home, you’re essentially clearing out the clutter from your mind.I feel so much better after doing just a little bit of housekeeping. I find it extremely relaxing to be in a clean home.I personally like getting rid of old clothes. If I haven’t worn them in a year, then they are wasteful clutter and can be given away.
  8.  Get a Massage:
Take the time to treat yourself to a massage. You deserve it. A massage is not only relaxing, it also promotes healthy blood circulation and overall well-being.So go ahead, pamper yourself and feel good about it. After-all, you’re not just doing something good for your mind. You’re also promoting a healthy body.
  9. Go for a Walk:
Nothing clears my head like a nice brisk walk. This is even better if you have beautiful backgrounds of nature to stroll through.Whenever I visit my extended family (they live in the country), I always make time for a 10 minute walk around their lake. As you walk, think about the rhythm of your body as you stride from one step to the next. It’s calming to focus on your breathing. Concentrate on each breath and empty your thoughts as you move along.

  10.  Aromatherapy:
Connecting certain fragrances to an emotionally uplifting situation will trigger a relaxation response. For example, try lighting some of your favorite incense or fill your home with the aroma of potpourri while you sit back and meditate your worries away. If those aromas are too strong for you, you can buy a less pungent smelling Glade air freshener. They just plug into any outlet and you can adjust the amount of fragrance that they release. I personally love using Glade plug-ins. Vanilla is my favorite. It’s a gentle scent that eases my mind.
  11. Do Charity work:
When you help others, you take the focus off yourself. Taking the focus off yourself is a big part of overcoming anxiety. You internalize less and simply live in the moment, taking pleasure in the world around you. Feel good about yourself for doing a positive thing for others.
  12. Read:
Escape to another place and time. Live in someone else shoes for a while and leave your troubles behind. Reading is actually another form of meditation. You leave your own thoughts and simply follow a scripted story. You’re essentially just going along for the ride and forgetting the world around you.I doesn’t matter what you read as long as it takes your thoughts elsewhere. This is a healthy break from things and will relieve anxiety within minutes.
  13. Write out Your Thoughts:
If you feel anxious or upset, write down your thoughts in a letter or diary. Sometimes, getting it all out on paper can feel like you’re getting out of your system. Don’t meditate on your negative thoughts. Simply spill them out in front of you. Feel the words leaving your your mind and making room for a more peaceful state of consciousness.
  14. Take a Hot Bath:
Let your muscles relax and sit in peace as the water calms and soothes you. Light some candles to create and even more tranquil environment. Play music to heighten the effect. There’s no rule that says you can’t turn your bathroom into a getaway spa if only for an hour.A bonus to this is buying special soaps, shaving creams or shampoos that will further your pampered “timeout”. Treat this as a special treat and really go all out.
  15. Avoid Caffeine:
This may sound like a bit of a tough one. I myself used to be a bit of a caffeine addict. And guess what? This was right around the same time my anxiety was at its worst. Sound like a coincidence? Not really. It’s easy to think that caffeine heightens you mood. After-all, it’s a stimulant. But the crash that you get from a strong caffeine high is enough to bring on extreme anxiety and depression. So do yourself a favor and start weening yourself off the caffeine train.I now start every morning with Green Tea and I eat a Granny Smith apple with my breakfast. Granny Smiths have been proven to actually wake you up just as much as a cup of coffee in the morning.
  16. Stretch:
Every night before bed, take 5 minutes to stretch. Even if it’s just touching your toes, every bit helps. When you stretch, you relieve tension in your back and muscles. You’ll feel calmer and more relaxed instantly. This is a great way to prepare for a fantastic night’s sleep. If you prefer not to stretch right before bed, you can stretch before going to the gym. It helps circulation and prevents injury as well. This anxiety reliever takes just minutes and it really does wonders. As a side benefit, you’ll feel so much better physically. Since I started stretching, I’ve noticed significantly less muscle cramps and soreness after a workout. I can honestly say this technique has made me feel younger and more vibrant.
  17. Eat Chocolate:
Chocolate releases phenylalanine in the brain. This so called “chocolate amphetamine” causes changes in blood pressure and blood-sugar levels leading to feelings of excitement and alertness. It works like amphetamines to increase mood and decrease depression. It’s been said that chocolate creates a feeling of “being in love”. I just like the taste myself. But if you needed some extra convincing to eat a piece of chocolate, know that it’s been proven to relieve anxiety.
  18. Smile:
Smile and think of a time when you were most happy. Think of a funny moment, a family member you love or a time when you dared to try something new.Smile and think positively. Throw your negative thoughts out of your head and shield them off with a broad, life-loving smile.Share your smile with others. When you smile at someone, they can’t help but smile back at you. It’s part of human nature. Smile and bring joy into the lives of others. Smile and keep that smile for as long as you want to. The choice really is yours.
  19. Guided Imagery:
Guided Imagery is just a fancy way of saying visualize something that calms you. When you feel anxious or stressed, close your eyes. Picture a serene setting where you’d love to escape to.For me, my visualization involves laying in a beautiful grassy field under a wise, angular tree that stretches high above me. The sky is clear, sunny and ominous with breathtaking clouds. There are no bugs in my vision and the temperature is just perfect. A cool breeze engulfs my body in a refreshing whisper. I’m barefoot and the grass cushions my body with soft feathery support. I feel as light as air and my mind drifts off into sleepy bliss.Get the idea? It’s good to make your vision as detailed as possible. Become completely emerged in the escape and leave your anxiety out of the picture.
  20. Sex:
I find it impossible to feel anxiety when I am completely carried away with lovemaking. Sex is healthy, good for the mind and body.It rejuvenates you and makes you feel completely alive. This anxiety reliever should not be overlooked. When you are completely swept away by the love of your partner, you forget about all of life’s stresses.Take a vacation from the anxiety in your mind. Instead, fill your head with the thoughts of love for another. Then indulge yourselves and think of nothing but the moment.
  21. Eat Your Favorite Food:
I’m not telling you to go out and binge eat to get over your anxiety. Obviously that’s not a healthy strategy. However, you are allowed to indulge in your favorite comfort foods when things get particularly stressful. My comfort food is sushi. I like it when it’s super fresh and the rice is still slightly warm. I add a little hot Miso soup to the mix to really make me feel cozy. This is my relaxing meal. What’s yours?
  22. Go by or Near Water:
This could be as simple as laying by a pool or walking along the shoreline of your favorite beach. Water naturally has a calming effect on us.The calming effect is thought to be derived from the peaceful time when we were in out mother’s womb. Some other ideas for going near water could be visiting an aquarium, watching a beautiful lightening storm from your window, taking a walk around a lake or even simply taking a hot shower.

THE LARGEST ICE CAVE IN THE WORLD: "EISRIESENWELT" (Austria)

One of the true wonders on earth, the Eisriesenwelt caves are a wondrous underground world of natural ice sculptures and formations and the largest of its kind. Eisriesenwelt means "world of the ice giants" in German.

Its is a labyrinth of natural limestone ice caves, located within the Hochkogel mountain in the Tennengebirge section of the Alps, in Werfen, Austria, about 40 km south of Salzburg, and stretch for a remarkable 40 kilometers. Only the first kilometer is covered in ice, that's the area that tourists are allowed to visit, but it's enough to get a feel of what the remaining network would be like: a truly mesmerizing art of nature's handicraft. The rest of the cave is formed of limestone. The cave is open to tourists from May 1st to October 26th every year.

There are various ways in which a cave ice can form. The Eisriesenwelt is a dynamic cave, which means the corridors and the crevices connect lower lying entrances to higher openings, thus it makes it possible for droughts of air to circulate – similar to the effect in a chimney. During spring, melt water seeps through the cracks in the rock and when it reaches the still cold and frozen lower areas of the caves it freezes and turns slowly into the wonderful ice formations visible inside the caves.

Eisriesenwelt was formed by the Salzach river, which eroded passageways into the mountain. The ice formations in the cave were formed by thawing snow which drained into the cave and froze during winter. Since the entrance to the cave is open year-round, chilly winter winds blow into the cave and freeze the snow inside. In summer, a cold wind from inside the cave blows toward the entrance and prevents the formations from melting.

The first official discovery of Eisriesenwelt was by "Anton Posselt", a natural scientist from Salzburg, in 1879, though he only explored the first two hundred meters of the cave. Before his discovery, the cave was known only to locals who believed that it was an entrance to Hell and refused to explore it. "Alexander von Mork", a speleologist from Salzburg led several expeditions into the caves beginning in 1912, which were soon followed by other explorers.Eisriesenwelt cave fetches around 200,000 tourists every year.

THE DEADLY FACTS ABOUT WATER

Water covers 70.9% of the Earth's surface, and is vital for all known forms of life.
Must know facts about your bottled Water and water

On Earth, 96.5% of the planet's water is found in oceans, 1.7% in groundwater, 1.7% in glaciers and the ice caps of Antarctica and Greenland, a small fraction in other large water bodies, and 0.001% in the air as vapor, clouds (formed of solid and liquid water particles suspended in air), and precipitation.

Only 2.5% of the Earth's water is freshwater, and 98.8% of that water is in ice and groundwater. Less than 0.3% of all freshwater is in rivers, lakes, and the atmosphere, and an even smaller amount of the Earth's freshwater (0.003%) is contained within biological bodies and manufactured products

Safe drinking water is essential to humans and other lifeforms. Access to safe drinking water has improved over the last decades in almost every part of the world, but approximately one billion people still lack access to safe water and over 2.5 billion lack access to adequate sanitation.

There is a clear correlation between access to safe water and GDP per capita. However, some observers have estimated that by 2025 more than half of the world population will be facing water-based vulnerability.

A recent report (November 2009) suggests that by 2030, in some developing regions of the world, water demand will exceed supply by 50%. Water plays an important role in the world economy, as it functions as a solvent for a wide variety of chemical substances and facilitates industrial cooling and transportation. Approximately 70% of the fresh water used by humans goes to agriculture.

Mind-Reading Invention Let’s You Type With Your Brain

Ever get into an argument with a loved one because you couldn’t just read their minds? Well, apparently a group of Researchers at University  Maastricht’s Faculty of Psychology & Neuroscience Department of Neurocognition have had enough because they have invented a system that translates thoughts into letters

All humor aside, this really is an incredible breakthrough for any type of handicap, from serious motor impairment to debilitating speech. The system has been in real-world testing and is an extraordinary success. The patients are set-up to looks at a screen of the alphabet, thinking about each letter for a period of time, then they should be able to think-type in real time. While it is not near the speed of actual typing, it is the only program of it’s kind and can only get better.
For other real-world applications, there are some journalistic elements to this technology as well. For example, plenty of people have the tendency to think faster than they can type and start skipping words as they try to catch up to that thought process. Or, for reporters covering a press conference or an unveiling of a new technological wonder, the sound of typing on a physical keyboard can sometimes be deafening in mass; if reporter could just think-write their articles in real-time, the event could be much more enjoyable for everybody.
As with all new breakthroughs, the attention will be placed on how to speed up the processes and make it available to all others who need it; it will be exciting to see how it all works out.

What lies behind a smile

Not all is as it seems like, not even some smiles, when someone smiles to us it uncover our soul, but it's not always like that. Just read this and see why.

When someone smiles, bad mood is forgotten, apologies were accepted, gets confidence boost, the job is better, but may also create a physical attraction. Understanding the nuances is helping you to ensure the correctness of messages sent by a smile.

DO NOT BELIEVE YOUR EYES
Ironically, a smile can express contempt. Bullies may wish you to note their joy when you realize their evil intentions. The result is a disconnect between the conscious and the external expression of internal feelings. Once disconnection may be unconscious, the result of oppression. A person may be heard as a child that negative feelings should not be shown, even the slightest hint of anger they're hiding with a smile.

THE MOST POWERFUL EXPRESSION
Even short-term smile has the ability to scratch into the subconscious of the person who sees the positive changes initiated from within. For example, a smile just four hundredths of a second is sufficient to start a mini-emotional positive developments in others, and makes people see things more positively. Boring subjects become interesting, and interlocutors more closer. And, best of all, these expressions are contagious.

DO NOT BELIEVE THEM
A recent study has confirmed that liars do not smile more than the people who tell the truth. However, they do have more automated smiles. They use the term to divert attention from what they say. But if scientists would asked liars to invent a lie on the spot, they would be confused and spontaneously smiled, indicating discomfort.

SMILE OR EMOTIONS?
You might think that the face simply reflects the feelings, but to some extent it create it. In fact, research has shown that the face can act as a control button: the effect of beautiful smile enhances feelings and serious face reduced them.

MATTER OF TRUST
Facial expressions often affects the decision we have made. In in one study a group of students was asked to imagine that members of the Disciplinary Counsel, which must determine whether a student cheated on the exam. They received information indicating that a student has cheated, and photos of students at some smiling, others have a neutral expression. Almost all the participants who saw the smiling people on photograph thought that those people might not cheated. For them, a smile meant that the person is reliable.

REAL OR TRAINED SMILE?
Not all smiles are natural. There are genuine, spontaneous smiles and the ones that are false. What's the difference? Psycho-physiology Gary broke and his colleagues found that the fake smiles on average ten times higher than the spontaneous, probably because their purpose is to be visible. They appear suddenly and disappear. In contrast, spontaneous smile appears more slowly and gradually, but often repeated. They include not only the changes around the mouth, but also around the eyes.

TRUE LOVE OR PASSION?
Is it possible with a smile to detect a difference? Absolutely. Social psychologists believe that deep passionate love and sexual attraction caused by completely different kinds of smiles. Love often show a real smile in society partners. On the other hand, if there is sexual desire but not the love, there is less real smiles. In short, a real smile expresses a desire for partners to be together, while a mouth stretching only suggests passion.

CONFUSING SIGNALS
Men love when women are smiling. In fact, studies show that men are much more attracted to women who are smiling. However, studies have found that a friendly smile for men is often misinterpreted as flirting and sexual interest. On the other hand, women often see a man's smile as a support.

WHO IS SMILING MORE?
Research shows that women are smiling much more than men, especially in the late teen ages and as young adults. It is a time when we send sexual signals. Also, men are less likely to smile back, especially to am other man. But there are times when a smile is the best way of showing masculinity - when men are smiling under duress or out of fear, they try to show others that everything is under control.

3D Printer Round-up: Cube 3D, Up! and Solidoodle

3D printing is a fascinating new technology and an exploding new market. The process involved is pretty basic actually. Heat up some plastic, and sort of like that Play-Doh Fun Factory you were so fond of as a kid, you extrude the melted plastic out to create objects of magnificence -- because you built it yourself.  However, 3D printers are much more akin to their cousin the 2D inkjet printer, though objects are being printed not only on the traditional X-Y plane but with that magical third "Z" dimension of height. In addition, advancements in 3D CAD software packages like Google Sketch Up (now a product of Tremble) are making it increasingly easier for the novice DIY designer and budding 3D model artist to make their own designs a reality.

It all started back in 2007 when the first RepRap machine was built.  The idea behind RepRap was to design a machine that could build complex parts in three dimensions using extruded molten plastic and that machine could also "self-replicate" or build a copy of itself. Also, RepRap is a fully open source project that draws on the collective resources of its community to further advance the technology and the vision of the "Self Replicating Machine."

Since then 3D printers of all types have emerged from the community, from almost household names like Maker-bot, (one of the largest player in this space, now a proprietary product) to the likes of Solidoodle, PP3DP, and 3D Systems, a pioneer in Stereo Lithography that invented the STL file format.  STL is also known as Standard Tessellation Language and it's the file format that is widely used for 3D printers, like all of the machines we're going to show you here in this review.  Gamers, you may recall the word "tessellation", as it is a key feature in Direct X 11 and OpenGL 3D graphics rendering.  Tessellation helps define data-sets for rendering 3D structures in the virtual world as well as the real world, in the case of 3D printing.  See how it all ties in?  Kinda cool, huh?

We thought so too. So we decided to reach out to a few of the more prominent names in 3D printing and do our usual round-up two step with them.  Unfortunately, the folks at Maker-bot were either too busy getting their Rep 2 system off the ground or putting together fancy marketing campaigns for it, so we weren't able to get that machine in but we may come back to it another day. However, we do have systems in from Solidoodle with the Solidoodle 2, PP3DP with their Up! Mini, and 3D Systems, the godfather of STL, with their Cube 3D.  First, let's give you a quick guided tour of these machines, then we'll do our usual deep dive.

What's perhaps more interesting about the trio of printers we have here is that they represent three different price points and, in some respects, three slightly different approaches to consumer-level 3D printing solutions.  The Cube 3D is sort of the "Apple" of the group. It's easiest to work with and setup, very reliable, looks good and just works.  It's also the most expensive of the three.  The Up! Mini is in the mid-range, both in terms of price point and ease of use and the Solidoodle 2 can be had for as little as $499. The SD2 is a tinkerer's dream and more closely follows the RepRap model with a no frills design.
