BRAIN DAMAGING HABITS

1. No Breakfast
People who do not take breakfast are going to have a lower blood sugar level. This leads to an insufficient supply of nutrients to the brain causing brain degeneration.

2. Overeating
It causes hardening of the brain arteries, leading to a decrease in mental power.

3. Smoking
It causes multiple brain shrinkage and may lead to Alzheimer disease.

4. High Sugar Consumption
Too much sugar will interrupt the absorption of proteins and nutrients causing malnutrition and may interfere with brain development.

5. Air Pollution
The brain is the largest oxygen consumer in our body. Inhaling polluted air decreases the supply of oxygen to the brain, bringing about a decrease in brain efficiency.

6. Sleep Deprivation
Sleep allows our brain to rest. Long term deprivation from sleep will accelerate the death of brain cells.

7. Head covered while sleeping
Sleeping with the head covered, increases the concentration of carbon dioxide and decrease concentration of oxygen that may lead to brain damaging effects.

8. Working your brain during illness
Working hard or studying with sickness may lead to a decrease in effectiveness of the brain as well as damage the brain.

9. Lacking in stimulating thoughts
Thinking is the best way to train our brain, lacking in brain stimulation thoughts may cause brain shrinkage.

10. Talking Rarely
Intellectual conversations will promote the efficiency of the brain.

Own made scented air freshener

Unpleasant smells are common visitors of our homes, but there is a solution that is hiding in your kitchen. Find out some interesting and useful tricks that can make your life much easier and save you some time and money.

During the cold days, the windows of our home are usually closed. In order to refresh the air in your rooms, make yourself a fragrant water. Take two sticks of vanilla carve along with their entire length and place them in a bowl, then pour in alcohol to be completely submerged and let it stay that way for three days or so.

After that time passes, remove the sticks, spend the liquid in the bottle with spray and add two ounces of distilled water. With fragrant liquid spray your home and enjoy the sweet smell of vanilla.

You can polish your wooden furniture to a high gloss with the ingredients that are hidden in your kitchen. In two ounces of olive oil pour two teaspoons of lemon juice and mix them well. Apply the liquid to a cotton cloth and a good polish furniture that will look like new.

Burned food scraps from your dishes can be solved with the help of red onion. Fill the pot up to a half of warm water and add the onion cut into pieces and also add a teaspoon of salt. Cook the water about ten minutes and burnt food residues from the bottom of the pot will be easy to remove with washer sponge.

Top 10 Interesting Facts About Sperm

01. Intricate sperm production

Sperm is produced in the testes in the small structures called epidermis. During sexual arousal, the muscles push sperm from these structures through a tube called vas deference. Here the sperm is mixed with other fluids, such as those from the prostate gland, the seminal vesicles and the Cowper's gland that all make up semen. Only one percent of the semen is actually sperm, the rest is fructose, amino acids, vitamin C, calcium, protein, sodium, zinc and citric acid.

02. How sperm is welcomed

Couple's chances of successful conception depend not only on sperm's quality, but the environment, where it gets in. Sperm can be viable in alkaline conditions, while most of the time cervical mucus is acidic, meaning that sperm cannot survive in it. However, prior and during ovulation, time which is favorable for conception, the pH of woman's cervical mucus becomes sperm-friendly environment, allowing it to swim and fertilize the egg.

03. High temperatures and sperm

Don't wear tight underwear, put your laptop near your privates or take warm baths. Men often hear those warnings, but what's the problem with heat? Nature is wise, that's why man's testicles are located outside the body, where temeperature is lower than inside the body. The thing is that sperm is made only at lower temperatures. When the scrotal temperature increases, it can damage sperm, thus your chances of conceiving a baby.

04. Sperm allergy

If sex is not a source of pleasure for you, but rather make your privates swell, itch and result in other icky symptoms, you may be one of those rare people, who suffer from sperm allergy. Women, who are allergic to sperm, are actually allergic to particular protein in the semen. There are even cases when a man is allergic to his own semen, having flulike symptoms after ejaculation. Interestingly, semen allergy is treated with semen, but very small amounts of it.

05. Sperm's lifespan

It takes around 10 weeks for the sperm to reach maturity. Once the sperm is inside the woman's body it can live up to 5 days or even longer under favorable conditions. However, when it is outside the body, it can only survive from few minutes to several hours.

06. Male and female sperm

There is an equal number of male and female sperm. The female sperm (X sperm) is slower, but stronger, while the male sperm (Y sperm) is faster, but weaker

07. Taste of the semen

It is believed that food man eats, affects the taste of his semen. Fruits are known to make semen taste better, while meat, dairy, coffee, onion and garlic can make semen taste bitter or acidic. Other things like smoking, medications, hygiene may also affect the taste of semen.

08. Unused sperm

Every day a man produces about 70 to 150 million sperm, while during ejaculation he can produce from 200 to 500 million sperm. But what happens, if man does not have sex or masturbates? In this case, the sperm is broken down and reabsorbed by the body with all its nutrients and its untapped potential.

09. Lucky guy

A healthy male produces up to 150 million sperm every day. And while the average ejaculate contains as much as a quarter billion sperm, the route to the egg is not an easy one. There are a lot of obstacles, such as unfavorable conditions of the vagina or the wrong direction it takes to the other fallopian tube. Only about a hundred of sperm can make it closer to the egg and only one: the strongest and the fastest, fertilizes the egg.

10. Unfailing supply of sperm

While women are born with the limited amount of eggs, men can never run out of sperm. In fact, men can renew their sperm supply just after 15 minutes after ejaculation. However, it should be mentioned that with the age the quality of sperm may become a bit worse with greater number of slower swimmers and more sperm with DNA damage.

Green Tea as an ally against cancer

What do I need to know about quitting? Why should I quit smoking?

What do I need to know about quitting?
The US Surgeon General has said, “Smoking cessation [stopping smoking] represents the single most important step that smokers can take to enhance the length and quality of their lives.”

It’s hard to quit smoking, but you can do it. To have the best chance of quitting and staying a non-smoker, you need to know what you’re up against, what your options are, and where to go for help. You’ll find this information here.

Why is it so hard to quit smoking?
Mark Twain said, “Quitting smoking is easy. I’ve done it a thousand times.” Maybe you’ve tried to quit, too. Why is quitting and staying quit hard for so many people? The answer is nicotine.

Nicotine

Nicotine is a drug found naturally in tobacco. It’s as addictive as heroin or cocaine. Over time, a person becomes physically dependent on and emotionally addicted to nicotine. This physical dependence causes unpleasant withdrawal symptoms when you try to quit. The emotional and mental dependence (addiction) make it hard to stay away from nicotine after you quit. Studies have shown that to quit and stay quit smokers must deal with both the physical and mental dependence.

How nicotine gets in, where it goes, and how long it stays

When you inhale smoke, nicotine is carried deep into your lungs. There it’s quickly absorbed into the bloodstream and carried throughout your body. In fact, nicotine inhaled in cigarette smoke reaches the brain faster than drugs that enter the body through a vein (intravenously or IV).

Nicotine affects many parts of your body, including your heart and blood vessels, your hormones, the way your body uses food (your metabolism), and your brain. Nicotine can be found in breast milk and even in the cervical mucus of a female smoker. During pregnancy, nicotine crosses the placenta and has been found in amniotic fluid and the umbilical cord blood of newborn infants.

Different factors affect how long it takes the body to remove nicotine and its by-products. In most cases, regular smokers will still have nicotine or its by-products, such as cotinine, in their bodies for about 3 to 4 days after stopping.

How nicotine hooks smokers

Nicotine causes pleasant feelings and distracts the smoker from unpleasant feelings. This makes the smoker want to smoke again. Nicotine also acts as a kind of depressant by interfering with the flow of information between nerve cells. Smokers tend to smoke more cigarettes as the nervous system adapts to nicotine. This, in turn, increases the amount of nicotine in the smoker’s blood.

Over time, the smoker develops a tolerance to nicotine. Tolerance means that it takes more nicotine to get the same effect that the smoker used to get from smaller amounts. This leads to an increase in smoking. At some point, the smoker reaches a certain nicotine level and then keeps smoking to keep the level of nicotine within a comfortable range.

When a person finishes a cigarette, the nicotine level in the body starts to drop, going lower and lower. The pleasant feelings wear off, and the smoker notices wanting a smoke. If smoking is postponed, the smoker may start to feel irritated and edgy. Usually it doesn’t reach the point of real withdrawal symptoms, but the smoker gets more uncomfortable over time. When the person smokes a cigarette, the unpleasant feelings fade, and the cycle continues.

Nicotine withdrawal symptoms can lead quitters back to smoking

When smokers try to cut back or quit, the lack of nicotine leads to withdrawal symptoms. Withdrawal is both physical and mental. Physically, the body reacts to the absence of nicotine. Mentally, the smoker is faced with giving up a habit, which calls for a major change in behavior. Both the physical and mental factors must be addressed for the quitting process to work.

Those who have smoked regularly for a few weeks or longer will have withdrawal symptoms if they suddenly stop using tobacco or greatly reduce the amount they smoke. Symptoms usually start within a few hours of the last cigarette and peak about 2 to 3 days later when most of the nicotine and its by-products are out of the body. Withdrawal symptoms can last for a few days to up to several weeks. They will get better every day that you stay smoke-free.

Withdrawal symptoms can include any of the following:

Dizziness (which may only last 1 to 2 days after quitting)
Depression
Feelings of frustration, impatience, and anger
Anxiety
Irritability
Sleep disturbances, including having trouble falling asleep and staying asleep, and having bad dreams or even nightmares
Trouble concentrating
Restlessness or boredom
Headaches
Tiredness
Increased appetite
Weight gain
Constipation and gas
Cough, dry mouth, sore throat, and nasal drip
Chest tightness
Slower heart rate
These symptoms can make the smoker start smoking again to boost blood levels of nicotine until the symptoms go away. (For information on coping with withdrawal, see the section called “How to quit.”)

Other substances in cigarette smoke

There is some evidence that other chemicals in cigarette smoke may act with nicotine to make it harder to quit smoking. The effects of smoking on monoamine oxidase (a brain chemical) and the substances called harman and norharman are still being studied. For some people, withdrawing from smoking causes more severe mood problems, which can result in worse cravings and more trouble staying quit.

Smoking affects other medicines

Smoking also makes your body get rid of some drugs faster than usual. When you quit smoking, it may change the levels of these drugs. Though it’s not truly withdrawal, this change can cause problems and add to the discomfort of quitting. Ask your doctor if any medicines you take need to be checked or changed after you quit.

Why should I quit?
Your health

Health concerns usually top the list of reasons people give for quitting smoking. This is a very real concern: smoking harms nearly every organ of the body.

Half of all smokers who keep smoking will end up dying from a smoking-related illness. In the United States alone, smoking is responsible for nearly 1 in 5 deaths, and about 8.6 million people suffer from smoking-related lung and heart diseases.

Cancer

Nearly everyone knows that smoking can cause lung cancer, but few people realize it is also linked to a higher risk for many other kinds of cancer too, including cancer of the mouth, nose, sinuses, lip, voice box (larynx), throat (pharynx), esophagus, bladder, kidney, pancreas, ovary, cervix, stomach, colon, rectum, and acute myeloid leukemia.

Lung diseases

Smoking greatly increases your risk of getting long-term lung diseases like emphysema and chronic bronchitis. These diseases make it harder to breathe, and are grouped together under the name chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). COPD causes chronic illness and disability, and gets worse over time — sometimes becoming fatal. Emphysema and chronic bronchitis can be found in people as young as 40, but are usually found later in life, when the symptoms become much worse. Long-term smokers have the highest risk of developing severe COPD. Pneumonia is also included in the list of diseases caused or made worse by smoking.

Heart attacks, strokes, and blood vessel diseases

Smokers are twice as likely to die from heart attacks as non-smokers. Smoking is a major risk factor for peripheral vascular disease, a narrowing of the blood vessels that carry blood to the leg and arm muscles. Smoking also affects the walls of the vessels that carry blood to the brain (carotid arteries), which can cause strokes. Smoking can cause abdominal aortic aneurysm, in which the layered walls of the body’s main artery (the aorta) weaken and separate, often causing sudden death. And men who smoke are more likely to develop erectile dysfunction (impotence) because of blood vessel disease.

Blindness and other problems

Smoking increases the risk of macular degeneration, one of the most common causes of blindness in older people. It promotes cataracts, which cloud the lens of the eye. It also causes premature wrinkling of the skin, bad breath, gum disease, tooth loss, bad-smelling clothes and hair, and yellow teeth and fingernails.

Special risks to women and babies

Women have some unique risks linked to smoking. Women over 35 who smoke and use birth control pills have a higher risk of heart attack, stroke, and blood clots in the legs. Women who smoke are more likely to miscarry (lose the baby) or have a lower birth-weight baby. Low birth-weight babies are more likely to die or have learning and physical problems.

Years of life lost due to smoking

Based on data collected in the late 1990s, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimated that adult male smokers lost an average of 13.2 years of life and female smokers lost 14.5 years of life because of smoking.

Each year, smoking causes early deaths of about 443,000 people in the United States. And given the diseases that smoking can cause, it can steal your quality of life long before you die. Smoking-related illness can limit your activities by making it harder to breathe, get around, work, or play.

Why quit now?

No matter how old you are or how long you’ve smoked, quitting can help you live longer and be healthier. People who stop smoking before age 50 cut their risk of dying in the next 15 years in half compared with those who keep smoking. Ex-smokers enjoy a higher quality of life. They have fewer illnesses like colds and the flu, lower rates of bronchitis and pneumonia, and feel healthier than people who still smoke.

For decades the Surgeon General has reported the health risks linked to smoking. In 1990, the Surgeon General concluded:

Quitting smoking has major and immediate health benefits for men and women of all ages. These benefits apply to people who already have smoking-related diseases and those who don’t.
Ex-smokers live longer than people who keep smoking.
Quitting smoking lowers the risk of lung cancer, other cancers, heart attack, stroke, and chronic lung disease.
Women who stop smoking before pregnancy or during the first 3 to 4 months of pregnancy reduce their risk of having a low birth-weight baby to that of women who never smoked.
The health benefits of quitting smoking are far greater than any risks from the small weight gain (usually less than 10 pounds) or any emotional or psychological problems that may follow quitting.

How to quit smoking

Smokers often say, “Don’t tell me why to quit, tell me how.” There’s no one right way to quit, but there are some requirements for quitting with success. These 4 factors are key:

Making the decision to quit
Picking a Quit Day and making a plan
Dealing with withdrawal
Staying tobacco-free (maintenance)
Making the decision to quit

The decision to quit smoking is one that only you can make. Others may want you to quit, but the real commitment must come from you.

Think about why you want to quit.

Are you worried that you could get a smoking-related disease?
Do you really believe that the benefits of quitting outweigh the benefits of continuing to smoke?
Do you know someone who has had health problems because of their smoking?
Are you ready to make a serious try at quitting?
If you are thinking about quitting, setting a date and deciding on a plan will help move you to the next step.

Setting a quit date and making a plan

What’s important about picking a Quit Day?

Once you’ve decided to quit, you’re ready to pick a quit date. This is a very important step. Pick a day within the next month as your Quit Day. Picking a date too far away can allow you time to rationalize and change your mind. But you want to give yourself enough time to prepare and come up with a plan. You might choose a date with a special meaning like a birthday or anniversary, or the date of the Great American Smokeout (the third Thursday in November each year). Or you might want to just pick a random date. Circle the date on your calendar. Make a strong, personal commitment to quit on that day.

Remember that if you are planning to use a prescription drug, you will need to talk with your doctor about getting it in time for your Quit Day. If you plan to use bupropion (Zyban) or varenicline (Chantix), you must start taking the drug at least a full week, or maybe even 2 weeks, before your Quit Day. Talk with your doctor about exactly when to start, and how to use the medicine. Also find out what side effects to watch for and report. If you are using a prescription drug, put a note on your calendar to remind you to start taking it before your Quit Day.

Prepare for your Quit Day

There is no one right way to quit. Most smokers prefer to quit cold turkey — they stop completely, all at once, with no medicines or nicotine replacement. They smoke until their Quit Day and then quit. Some may smoke fewer cigarettes for 1 or 2 weeks before their Quit Day. Another way is to cut down on the number of cigarettes you smoke a little bit each day. This way, you slowly reduce the amount of nicotine in your body. You might cut out cigarettes smoked with a cup of coffee, or you might decide to smoke only at certain times of the day. It makes sense to cut down in order to reduce withdrawal symptoms, but this can be hard to do.

Quitting smoking is a lot like losing weight: it takes a strong commitment over a long time. Smokers may wish there was a magic bullet – a pill or something that would make quitting painless and easy – but there’s no such thing. Nicotine substitutes can help reduce withdrawal symptoms, but they work best when they are used as part of a stop-smoking plan that addresses both the physical and psychological components of quitting smoking.

Here are some steps to help you get ready for your Quit Day:

Pick the date and mark it on your calendar.
Tell friends and family about your Quit Day.
Get rid of all the cigarettes and ashtrays in your home, car, and at work.
Stock up on oral substitutes — sugarless gum, carrot sticks, hard candy, cinnamon sticks, coffee stirrers, straws, and/or toothpicks.
Decide on a plan. Will you use NRT or other medicines? Will you attend a stop-smoking class? If so, sign up now.
Practice saying, “No thank you, I don’t smoke.”
Set up a support system. This could be a group program or a friend or family member who has successfully quit and is willing to help you. Ask family and friends who still smoke not to smoke around you, and not to leave cigarettes out where you can see them.
If you are using bupropion or varenicline, take your dose each day leading up to your Quit Day.
Think about your past attempts to quit. Try to figure out what worked and what didn’t.
Successful quitting is a matter of planning and commitment, not luck. Decide now on your own plan. Some options include using nicotine replacement or other medicines, joining a stop-smoking class, going to Nicotine Anonymous meetings, using self-help materials such as books and pamphlets, or some combination of these methods. For the best chance at success, your plan should include 2 or more of these options.

Your Quit Day

On your Quit Day:

Do not smoke. This means none at all — not even one puff!
Keep active — try walking, exercising, or doing other activities or hobbies.
Drink lots of water and juices.
Begin using nicotine replacement if that’s your choice.
Attend stop-smoking class or follow your self-help plan.
Avoid situations where the urge to smoke is strong.
Avoid people who are smoking.
Drink less alcohol or avoid it completely.
Think about how you can change your routine. Use a different route to go to work, drink tea instead of coffee. Eat breakfast in a different place or eat different foods.
Read on to find out more about the kinds of thoughts and temptations that come up when you try to quit, and ideas for ways to deal with or avoid them.

Dealing with withdrawal

Withdrawal from nicotine has 2 parts — the physical and the mental. The physical symptoms are annoying but not life-threatening. Still, if you’re not prepared for them, they can tempt you to go back to smoking. Nicotine replacement and other medicines can help reduce many of these symptoms. Most smokers find that the mental part of quitting is the bigger challenge.

If you have been smoking for any length of time, smoking has become linked with a lot of the things you do — waking up in the morning, eating, reading, watching TV, and drinking coffee, for example. It will take time to “un-link” smoking from these activities. This is why, even if you’re using a nicotine replacement, you may still have strong urges to smoke.

Rationalizations are sneaky

One way to overcome these urges or cravings is to notice and identify rationalizations as they come up. A rationalization is a mistaken thought that seems to make sense to you at the time, but the thought isn’t based on reality. If you choose to believe in such a thought even for a short time, it can serve as a way to justify smoking. If you have tried to quit before, you will probably recognize many of these common rationalizations:

“I’ll just have one to get through this rough spot.”
“Today is not a good day. I’ll quit tomorrow.”
“It’s my only vice.”
“How bad is smoking, really? Uncle Harry smoked all his life and he lived to be over 90.”
“Air pollution is probably just as bad.”
“You’ve got to die of something.”
“Life is no fun without smoking.”
You probably can add more to the list. As you go through the first few days without smoking, write down any rationalizations as they come up and recognize them for what they are: messages that can trick you into going back to smoking. Look out for them, because they always show up when you’re trying to quit. After you write down the thought, let it go and move on. Be ready with a distraction, a plan of action, and other ways to re-direct your thoughts to something else.

Use these ideas to help you stay committed to quitting

Avoid temptation. Stay away from people and places that tempt you to smoke. Later on you’ll be able to handle these with more confidence.

Change your habits. Switch to juices or water instead of alcohol or coffee. Choose foods that don’t make you want to smoke. Take a different route to work. Take a brisk walk instead of a coffee break.

Choose other things for your mouth: Use substitutes you can put in your mouth such as sugarless gum or hard candy, raw vegetables such as carrot sticks, or sunflower seeds. Some people chew on a coffee stirrer or a straw.

Get active with your hands: Do something to reduce your stress. Exercise or do something that keeps your hands busy, such as needlework or woodworking, which can help distract you from the urge to smoke. Take a hot bath, go for a walk, or read a book.

Breathe deeply: When you were smoking, you breathed deeply as you inhaled the smoke. When the urge strikes now, breathe deeply and picture your lungs filling with fresh, clean air. Remind yourself of your reasons for quitting and the benefits you’ll gain as an ex-smoker.

Delay: If you feel that you are about to light up, hold off. Tell yourself you must wait at least 10 minutes. Often this simple trick will allow you to move beyond the strong urge to smoke.

Reward yourself. What you’re doing is not easy, so you deserve a reward. Put the money you would have spent on tobacco in a jar every day and then buy yourself a weekly treat. Buy a book or some new music, go out to eat, start a new hobby, or join a gym. Or save the money for a major purchase.

You can also reward yourself in ways that don’t cost money: visit a park or go to the library. Check local news listings for museums, community centers, and colleges that have free classes, exhibits, films, and other things to do.

Staying smoke-free

Remember the Mark Twain quote? Maybe you, too, have quit many times before. If so, you know that staying quit is the final, longest, and most important stage of the process. You can use the same methods as you did to help you through withdrawal. Think ahead to those times when you may be tempted to smoke, and plan on how you will use other ways to cope with those situations.

More dangerous, perhaps, are the unexpected strong desires to smoke that can sometimes happen months or even years after you’ve quit. Rationalizations can show up then, too. To get through these without relapse, try these:

Remember your reasons for quitting and think of all the benefits to your health, your finances, and your family.
Remind yourself that there is no such thing as just one cigarette — or even just one puff.
Ride out the desire to smoke. It will go away, but don’t fool yourself into thinking you can have just one.
Avoid alcohol. Drinking lowers your chance of success.
If you’re worried about weight gain, put some energy into planning a healthy diet and finding ways to exercise and stay active.
Recovering from slips

What if you do smoke? Here’s the difference between a slip and a relapse: a slip is a one-time mistake that is quickly corrected. A relapse is going back to smoking. You can use the slip as an excuse to go back to smoking, or you can look at what went wrong and renew your commitment to staying away from smoking for good.

Even if you do relapse, try not to get too discouraged. Very few people are able to quit for good on the first try. In fact, it takes most people several tries before they quit for good. What’s important is figuring out what helped you when you tried to quit and what worked against you. You can then use this information to make a stronger attempt at quitting the next time.

The Benefits of Eating Fruit on an Empty Stomach

EATING FRUIT…It’s long but very informative. We all think eating fruits means just buying fruits, cutting it and just popping it into our mouths. It’s not as easy as you think. It’s important to know how and when to eat. What is the correct way of eating fruits? IT MEANS NOT EATING FRUITS AFTER YOUR MEALS! * FRUITS SHOULD BE EATEN ON AN EMPTY STOMACH.

If you eat fruit like that, it will play a major role to detoxify your system, supplying you with a great deal of energy for weight loss and other life activities.FRUIT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT FOOD.Let’s say you eat two slices of bread and then a slice of fruit. The slice of fruit is ready to go straight through the stomach into the intestines, but it is prevented from doing so.In the meantime the whole meal rots and ferments and turns to acid.

The minute the fruit comes into contact with the food in the stomach and digestive juices, the entire mass of food begins to spoil….So please eat your fruits on an empty stomach or before your meals! You have heard people complaining every time I eat watermelon I burp, when I eat durian my stomach bloats up, when I eat a banana I feel like running to the toilet, etc. actually all this will not arise if you eat the fruit on an empty stomach.

The fruit mixes with the putrefying other food and produces gas and hence you will bloat!Graying hair, balding, nervous outburst, and dark circles under the eyes all these will NOT happen if you take fruits on an empty stomach. There is no such thing as some fruits, like orange and lemon are acidic, because all fruits become alkaline in our body, according to Dr. Herbert Shelton who did research on this matter.

If you have mastered the correct way of eating fruits, you have the Secret of beauty, longevity, health, energy, happiness and normal weight. When you need to drink fruit juice – drink only freshfruit juice, NOT from the cans. Don’t even drink juice that has been heated up.. Don’t eat cooked fruits because you don’t get the nutrients at all. You only get to taste. Cooking destroys all the vitamins. But eating a whole fruit is better than drinking the juice.. If you should drink the juice, drink it mouthful by mouthful slowly, because you must let it mix with your saliva before swallowing it.

You can go on a 3-day fruit fast to cleanse your body. Just eat fruits and drink fruit juice throughout the 3 days and you will be surprised when your friends tell you how radiant you look!KIWI:Tiny but mighty. This is a good source of potassium, magnesium, vitamin E & fiber. Its vitamin C content is twice that of an orange.APPLE: An apple a day keeps the doctor away? Although an apple has a low vitamin C content, it has antioxidants & flavonoids which enhances the activity of vitamin C thereby helping to lower the risks of colon cancer, heart attack & stroke.

STRAWBERRY: Protective Fruit. Strawberries have the highest total antioxidant power among major fruits & protect the body from cancer-causing, blood vessel-clogging free radicals.

ORANGE : Sweetest medicine. Taking 2-4 oranges a day may help keep colds away, lower cholesterol, prevent & dissolve kidney stones as well as lessens the risk of colon cancer.

WATERMELON: Coolest thirst quencher. Composed of 92% water, it is also packed with a giant dose of glutathione, which helps boost our immune system. They are also a key source of lycopene the cancer fighting oxidant. Other nutrients found in watermelon are vitamin C & Potassium.

GUAVA & PAPAYA: Top awards for vitamin C. They are the clear winners for their high vitamin C content. Guava is also rich in fiber, which helps prevent constipation. Papaya is rich in carotene; this is good for your eyes.

For those who like to drink cold water, this article is applicable to you. It is nice to have a cup of cold drink after a meal. However, the cold water will solidify the oily stuff that you have just consumed. It will slow down the digestion. Once this ‘sludge’ reacts with the acid, it will break down and be absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid food.. It will line the intestine. Very soon, this will turn into fats and lead to cancer. It is best to drink hot soup or warm water after a meal.

10 Health Benefits of Chocolate

1. High in Antioxidants
Cocoa contains flavanols, a type of flavanoid that is only found in cocoa and chocolate. Flavanoids are naturally-occurring compounds that occur in plant foods that act as antioxidants and help counteract free radicals in the body.

2. Blood Pressure Benefits
Dark chocolate has been shown in studies to lower blood pressure in people with elevated blood pressure.

3. Lower LDL Cholesterol
Eating dark chocolate on a regular basis has been shown to reduce LDL cholesterol by as much as 10 percent.

4. Natural Anti-Depressant
Chocolate contains serotonin, a natural anti-depressant. Chocolate also stimulates endorphin production, which creates feelings of happiness and pleasure. In fact, one study found that melting chocolate in the mouth produced feelings of pleasure longer than passionate kissing. This may explain why many people naturally reach for chocolate when they're depressed.

5. Cancer Fighter
Several studies have found chocolate to be one of the best cancer-fighting foods along with foods like red wine, blueberries, garlic, and tea. Two ways that chocolate works as a cancer fighter is by inhibiting cell division and reducing inflammation, though research is ongoing and will probably find additional ways in which chocolate fights cancer.

6. Prevents Tooth Decay
Research has found that the theobromine in chocolate prevents tooth decay by eliminating streptococcus mutans, a bacteria found in the oral cavity that contributes to tooth decay.

7. Longer Life and Less Disease
One Dutch study followed 200 men over 20 years and found that those who consumed large amounts of chocolate, both milk chocolate and dark, lived longer and had lower overall disease rates than men who ate little or no chocolate.

A Harvard study on the Kuna tribe of Panama resulted in similar findings. The Kuna consumed large amounts of raw cacao every day and the study found them to have lower overall disease rates and longer life expectancy than neighboring tribes who did not consume as much raw cacao.

To further strengthen the case for dark chocolate as a life extender, the world's longest-lived person, Jeanne Louise Calment, lived to the age of 122 and many ascribed her longevity in part to her consumption of 2.5 pounds of dark chocolate a week.

8. High in Magnesium
Cacao is higher in magnesium than any other plant. Magnesium is an important mineral that helps in the regulation of the digestive, neurological, and cardiovascular systems. Since many people are magnesium deficient, adding magnesium-rich dark chocolate to the diet can improve overall health.

9. Artery Cleanup
Studies have shown that the antioxidants in cacao work like brooms in sweeping plaque out of the arteries.

10. Brain Health
Many studies have shown that dark chocolate is good for the brain. Researchers at Johns Hopkins University found it can protect the brain after a stroke by shielding nerve cells from further damage. Dark chocolate has also been found to improve memory. Researchers at California's Salk found that a chemical in chocolate called epicatechin improved the memory of mice.

What your acne is telling you

This is actually my own personal experience. This technique works amazing. I learnt it from a YouTube video. So this is kinda what they call "Face Mapping." It basically tells you that why you are having acne for example, on your forehead the most. So here it goes..

Why do you get acne on forehead?
The main causes could be stress, not getting enough sleep and not washing hair too frequent. So to get rid of them from your forehead, make sure you get at least 8 hours of sleep. DO NOT take any stress. Try to meditate and think positive to get rid of the stress. Wash your hair at least 3 times a weak and be careful if you are wearing hats, as they pass on those bacteria on your fore head, which causes acne. Also it could be poor digestion. So drink lots of water or you could drink green tea (it includes water and green tea is GREAT for poor digestion) or you could drink a lemonade but without sugar, which tastes disgusting but might work for you. I haven't tried lemonade but let me know if it works for you :) When you are using tweezers on forehead, make sure they are clean. Just wash them under hot water and they will be perfect.

Why do you get acne on temples?
Its because you are eating a lot of junk food and you need to reduce the amount of fat from your diet. Try eating fruits, vegetables that are cooling for your body. Like watermelons, cucumber etc..

Why do you get acne on nose?
You might be eating too spicy food like garlic, chilli, onions etc... So you need to make sure that you are eating a balanced diet and cut down the spicy foods. Also get more fresh air by exercising for e.g, go for a walk. And make sure you include Vitamin B in your diet.

Why do you get acne between your eyes and above your nose?
STOP eating foods 2 hours before you go to sleep. This is very important and it is one of the biggest cause of acne. I used to eat a lot before I go to sleep but since I stopped it, my face started to clear up. Or you could be lactose intolerance. So do not drink all the dairy products.

Why do you get acne on upper cheeks?
Stop smoking. Not only that affects other people's health but it also pollutes your own house. So throw away those cigarette packets. And keep a plant in your room which will remove the pollution from the environment in your house.

Why do you get acne on lower cheeks?
You need to keep your oral hygiene clean. Brush twice a day. Plus if you talk a lot on phones, the bacteria from your phone gets on your lower cheeks causing more pimples. So keep your phone away from your cheeks. Otherwise, you can clean your phone with anti-bacterial wipes. Sounds crazy huh.?

Why do you get acne on ears?
Drink more water and cut down the salt and caffeine in your diet.

Why do you break out on chin area?
It could be hormonal imbalance which you can't really help unfortunately unless you do meditation. Plus you are taking too much stress and not getting enough sleep. So make sure to balance it out. Meditate and sleep a lot. Your digestion could be poor so to improve it, drink lots of water and eat some yoghurt :)

Please let me know if these tips worked for you :)

World's only toxic monkey Discovered

Scientists discover the world's only toxic monkey but warn: while it might look cute, its bite could be deadly.

A monkey that comes out at night and has a bite so poisonous it could kill a human has been discovered by scientists. The new species, which is a type of slow loris, releases poison from glands at its elbows which it then takes into its mouth.
Their bite can prove deadly because it can cause anaphylactic shock in humans, killing them.

Researchers think the new species, Nycticebus kayan, went undiscovered for so long because it is nocturnal. It is the only primate with a toxic bite.
However, the new monkey, which is more closely related to bushbabies and lemurs than monkeys and apes, is already on the endangered list.

10 Job-Interview Mistakes to Avoid

1. Joking around. Don't tell jokes. Don't consider it a fun opening line or ice-breaker. The odds of you offending someone (or even worse telling a bad joke) are too high. Don't do it. If humor is an impo
rtant part of who you are, find a way to share an interesting anecdote about a work-related event. Not a joke.

2. Using bad words. No matter which interviewer you get and no matter what you know about them, don't swear. Not even the minor words. Besides the obvious risk of offending you someone, you also can look smug and too comfortable.

3. Telling really long stories. You might be incredibly nervous or excited to share something, but don't get caught in the long story trap. Long stories are boring, often off topic, and slow the interview to a terrible crawl.

4. Wearing uninspected clothes. Old twisted ties, blouses that are falling apart at the sleeves, poor fitting shirts. No matter your clothing fault, it sends the wrong message. And yes, the hiring manager notices.

5. Getting too personal. We all have tough times in life. But tough times are personal and should stay private. Whether answering a question about a gap in your resume or explaining why your last boss didn't like you, do everything you can to keep it objective. No emotion and no personal stories.

6. Being a copy cat. The interview preparation expert who suggested many years ago to match the body language of your interviewer was wrong. If you have ever interviewed someone who sat up when you did, leaned back with you and crossed his or her legs in concert, it is a bit creepy. While there is a way to generally match the overall tone of the serious or social job interview, don't do it literally.

7. Can't stop talking. Some people just love to talk. Are you trying to fill up time to avoid more questions? Are you just a social person? Either way, some interviewers don't know how to stop you. So you have to stop yourself.

8. Avoiding details. Sometimes an interviewer will ask the same question three or four times. They do this because job candidates don't answer them. Whether or not it's on purpose, it is frustrating for the interviewer. Often they keep asking because they believe the person has the answer and the candidate just needs some help. And sometimes they just do not want the candidate to blatantly avoid the question.

9. Unwanted hair. Hollywood actors are famous for wearing a thin mustache or goatee. They get away with it because they are famous people preparing for an important part in a new movie. You are not famous, you are not preparing for a movie role, and the facial hair probably doesn't look good on you.

10. Toughing it out. If offered a drink of water, take it. If offered a chance to use the rest room, take it. These are legitimate offers, not cruel tricks to see if you'll bite. You do not look weak by accepting a glass of water.

WORLD’S OLDEST WOMAN DIES AT 116

Besse Cooper, a woman who lived through such notable events as Ford’s first automobile, World War One, the moon landing, and President Obama’s reelection died on Tuesday in a Monroe, Georgia nursing home.
Besse Cooper was 116-years-old and held the title as the world’s oldest person. According to her son Sidney Cooper, 77, Besse was ill with a stomach virus the previous week, but was feeling better on Monday and even had her hair set and watched a Christmas video on Tuesday. However, later in the day she had trouble breathing and was put on oxygen in her room where she died peacefully around 2 p.m.
“With her hair fixed it looked like she was ready to go,” he said.
In January 2011 Besse was declared the world’s oldest person by the Guinness Book of World’s Records; although she temporarily lost the title when it was learned that Maria Gomes Valentin of Brazil was 48 days older. Valentin died the next month.
The Guinness website interviewed Besse earlier this year and asked for her secret to long life. “I mind my own business. And I don’t eat junk food,” she responded.
She was a school teacher in Georgia, participated in the women’s suffrage movement, and registered women to vote after the 19th amendment was added. She voted in every election since 1920, except this year’s and in 1948 when she and her husband thought Thomas Dewey was a shoo-in.
Sidney Cooper described his mother as a strong, determined woman who, thanks to her school teacher nature, could be a disciplinarian. She was fair and honest, he said, but “when she said something needed to be done, you’d better do it.”
Sidney Cooper said his mother referred to her 80s as her best years, and he always remembered her working in her flower garden and reading. Although her eyesight had deteriorated in recent years and she could no longer read, Sidney said that, other than a few heart issues, she was in “amazing” health and never complained of pain.
Besse married her husband Luther Cooper in 1924. He died in 1963 and she never remarried. She is survived by four children, 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
